Our Team
President Gregory Hernandez
Gregory Hernandez is a filmmaker and video producer. He enjoys the collaborative process of making films and videos. He believes filmmaking to be one of the most inclusive art forms imaginable.
Since 2017, he has been producing and directing a feature length documentary called “1.5 million” which centers around the literacy crisis in The Bronx.
He produced an interview series, called “bronx vignettes” which highlights activists and creatives in the Bronx. In 2019, he co-founded "bronx film 48" a filmmaking initiative with the goal of increasing the number of filmmakers in The Bronx.
Having spent the first 31 years of his life in the Bronx, Nigel Castro has a fond affinity for the Bronx. His education included St. Peter and Paul school from 1st to 8th grades and Cardinal Hayes High School for Boys from 9th to 12th grades. It was during the high school years when Nigel met Greg Hernandez.
Throughout his life, Nigel has watched the Bronx transform. There are plenty of talented people who were able to fulfill their dreams and other talented individuals who have been limited through no fault of their own; whether it’s economical or otherwise.
